The Leonards
Lester and Hazel Leonard opened the doors to their modest antiques shop in Seekonk, Massachusetts in 1933. A discerning eye and exceptional craftsmanship would become the hallmark of the workshop, and Leonards quickly earned a reputation for restoring furniture and pioneering the art of resizing antique beds.
The Jenkins
Bob Jenkins would manage and eventually own Leonards for nearly 30 years, until his son Jeff purchased the family business in 1988. As a boy, Jeff Jenkins apprenticed alongside his parents and Leonards' craftsmen. He would develop a lifelong passion and appreciation for antiques and the artisans that created and restored each piece. Jeff's restoration innovations, keen auction instincts and deep connections with customers, dealers and industry icons evolved Leonards Antiques into an esteemed international business. Jeff passed away in 2011, but his legacy is forever forged at Leonards and continues with the Leonards seasoned staff and their commitment to offering heirloom antiques and bespoke reproductions to today's modern family.
